JA Legal Founding Partner Barrister Junaid Ahmed acted on behalf of a local manufacturer and importer of Paperboard in an Appeal against the order passed by the Anti-Dumping Appellate Tribunal  before the Islamabad High Court in order to challenge the imposition of anti-dumping duties. The High Court granted the ad-interim stay order and restrained the defendants from adopting any coercive measures of recovery against our Client.

It is important to highlight that law surrounding anti-dumping duties is a novel area considering lack of settle legal principles and ambiguities surrounding the same. Thus, it would be interesting to see how this particular area of law evolves, and what legal principles on merits, eventually our High Courts and then Supreme Court decides pertaining to Preliminary and Final determinations of anti-dumping duties.
