Barrister Junaid Ahmed has been engaged to represent the accused both at the trial and to plead the post arrest bail application before the Anti-Narcotics Court Karachi.
The accused was arrested by Custom authorities based on the FIR pertaining to the import of marijuana from Los Angeles, USA to Karachi, Pakistan. Considering the relevant special court is vacant for the past few weeks, and the link Judge is not expressly empowered to grant/adjudicate bail applications, we also moved a Criminal Transfer Application before the High Court of Sindh (Karachi) in order to expedite the matter. The Criminal Transfer Application is going to be fixed before the Chief Justice of Sindh.
