The Court of Rent Controller (Faisal Cantonment) has passed an order against M/s. Shell (Pakistan), directing the company to deposit arrears of rent amounting to PKR 18,000,000/- within 30 days for dues pending since March 2019. The Court has further ordered Shell (Pakistan) to deposit PKR 900,000/- on the 5th day of every month without exception.
Additionally, the Court dismissed Shell’s application seeking rejection of the plaint/ejection application.
The applicant was successfully represented by JA Legal through Barrister Junaid Ahmed, assisted by Barrister Umair Usman.
It must be noted that our client, M/s. Monolight CNG International Ltd, had leased its land to Shell (Pakistan) on the main Shahrah-e-Faisal near PAF Base Faisal, Karachi. However, the tenant failed to fulfill its responsibilities in accordance with the tenancy agreement.
