High Court of Sindh at Karachi issued Contempt of Court notices to the General Manager (HR) and Head of Legal as the said officers failed to implement the order of the High Court.
By way of background, the High Court of Sindh at Karachi, vide Order dated 11.03.2022 in Suit 630/2020, directed the Trading Corporation of Pakistan to release the withheld Eid Bonus of our Client within two (02) weeks and to consider our Client for promotion in the upcoming selection board meeting. Nonetheless, despite the High Court Order in field, the Trading Corporation of Pakistan did not comply with the Order. Subsequently, the Plaintiff’s Counsel on 17.04.2020 sent a Legal Notice to the Alleged Contemnors, intimating them to comply with the Order dated 11.03.2022 passed by this Honorable Court in the titled Suit. Even then, compliance was not made, and our Client, through our Firm’s Founding Partner Barrister Junaid Ahmed, approached the High Court of Sindh at Karachi as the Trading Corporation of Pakistan had willfully disobeyed and/or disregarded the specific Order of the Honorable Court. The actions/omissions on the part of the Contemnors are bringing the authority of the Courts into disrespect and/or disrepute. Stay updated with JA Legal.
