Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) has finally vacated the premises of our Client. By way of brief background, Shell was running the Petrol Station on our Client’s land situated on Main Shahrah Faisal near PAF Base Faisal Karachi since 2003. However, especially from the year 2018, the relationship between the parties started to deteriorate.
Consequently, we were engaged to pursue the matter and in the Eviction & Rent Petitions, the Court passed an order whereby it directed SPL to pay the outstanding rent within thirty days along with a monthly rent. In view of the proceedings and orders, consequently, the parties entered into an amicable settlement and filed a Joint Application before the Honorable High Court of Sindh (Karachi), and the same was granted on 16.11.2020.
Finally, on 12.12.2020, our Client have taken the vacant peaceful possession of its land.
Now, another Oil Marketing Company is about to start its operations on the same premises with more facilities from 2021. We wish them all the very best !
